I drove down for this swell myself and showed up in downtown Santa Cruz in awe. The swell was barely showing. However, a hour away and as the Mavericks contest was happening, Ocean Beach in San Francisco was enjoying the swell of a lifetime. Ocean Beach regulars and guys who traveled down for it including Damian Hobgood and Josh Kerr scored one of the best days seen there in a long time. Thankfully the folks at Powerline Productions caught some of the action. Enjoy:
